Utah First Credit Union is seeking an individual to fill a full-time Member Service Representative position. The company has been in business for seventy-five years. LOCATIONS: Farmington, Woods Cross, Salt Lake, Postal, Midvale, Sandy, American Fork, and Provo Branches DESCRIPTION: The primary purpose of this position is to support Utah First Federal Credit Union in living out the Service Mission, "To be significant in the lives of our members, employees and their communities." Member Service Representatives support their Branch in delivering prompt, personalized, and professional member service, selling Credit Union products and services, and assisting members in achieving their financial goals. General responsibilities include ensuring that members find it easy and rewarding to do business with the Credit Union. Treats all members with dignity and respect. Promises to identify and take ownership of problems or needs as they arise and to make a positive difference in the financial lives of all members. Express gratitude and appreciation for the member's business and loyalty. Essential duties include, but are not limited to, delivering service to both internal and external members consistent with the Credit Union's Service Promises. Meets all established sales and service goals; attends all meetings and trainings; understands and follows all Credit Union policy and procedure, and is able to pass the Product Knowledge and Job Knowledge annual tests; works closely with the Branch Manager and other Branch employees to deliver and ensure quality service to all Credit Union members; ensures the Credit Union brand is well represented to the community; completes transactions and related documentation for a variety of member requests, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, credit union checks, money orders, and cash advances; educates members of Credit Union products and services, including eligibility for membership, types of available products, associated fees, and interest and dividend rates; provides exceptional, professional telephone member service, including answering questions and/or transferring calls. QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience working in a retail environment and handling cash. Demonstrate fundamental written and verbal communication skills with the ability to listen and make quick decisions. Proven interpersonal skills and a willingness to participate as a team player. The ability to learn how to provide strong member service, which includes recognizing member needs, referring appropriate products, and cross-selling services.
