Join Vistar, a division of Performance Food Group. Vistar is one of the nation’s largest providers of candy, snacks, beverages and other convenience food items to the vending, retail concession, theatre, fundraising and office coffee service industries. The night selector/order picker position will perform the following duties in a climate controlled warehouse: Properly select, stack neatly on pallet, and mark product for shipment to customer. Use RF scanner equipment for selecting purposes and product identification. Selects products without damage or errors by safely using electric pallet jack to transport product. Stacks products neatly on wooden pallet with heavy products on the bottom of the pallet. If more than one order on a pallet then must be able to keep orders together and separate. Must correctly mark product so that it can be seen on the outside of the pallet. Responsible for staging full pallets for loading. Must identify each pallet by route number, stop number, and his/her initials. Must keep work area clean by picking up paper, plastic wrappers, scrap wood, broken pallets, etc. May be assigned other tasks associated with the warehouse operation as needed. Note: This is a Temp to Perm position Qualifications: High School Diploma or Equivalent; -Operates Electric Pallet Jack - Single and/ or double. -Performs routine pre and post inspections on electric pallet jack to ensure the safe operation of the equipment. -Must be able to work in three different climate controlled areas - dry, cooler and freezer. -Must be able to lift cases up to 50lbs frequently while bending and turning. -Properly select, stack and palletize according to route and stop numbers utilizing RF picking scanners. -Must be able to follow directions and work at a fast pace independently. -Must be able to meet and maintain specific goals for production and quality standards, this will qualify you for additional pay incentive -Must be able to work Sunday through Thursday on 10 hour shifts. -Must be able to read and write in English. -Will be cross-trained to provide support as a backup in different departments and or job functions. -Maintain a safe and clean working environment to ensure that all company safety procedures are followed to insure OSHA compliance guidelines.
