We are currently looking to fill a Housekeeping position in our Menomonie, WI location. The hours for this position will consist of 20 to 30 hours per week. Come SUMMARY Keeps premises of office, resident rooms, and public areas of house in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, laminate surfaces, and wood trim. 2. Cleans resident rooms, hallways, vestibule, lounge, rest rooms, and other work areas. 3. Moves furniture to vacuum and clean under. 4. Reports any broken, not working, or potential hazardous equipment, furniture or fixtures to Director. 5. Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors. Ensures notice when floors are wet. 6. Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies. 7. Dusts furniture and equipment. 8. Polishes metalwork. 9. Washes walls, ceiling, windows and window sills, door panels, and woodwork as needed. 10. Empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans outside ashtrays. 11. Transports trash and waste to disposal area. 12. Replenishes bathroom supplies. COMPANY WIDE RESPONSIBILITIES: Supports a dignified and caring atmosphere with residents, residents’ families, visitors and staff. Protects privacy and confidentiality of information pertaining to the resident, employee, residence, and company information and records. Maintains a safe and secure working environment and practices safe working habits. Complies with attendance policy. Maintains neat appearance, good personal hygiene, and appropriate attire. Participates in mandatory training, in services, and attends mandatory staff meetings. Assists with projects as assigned and performs other related duties. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to six months related experience and/or training in direct service with older adults, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of dementia is helpful. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to residents and other employees of the company.
